Anchoring in a sandbank
One of the almost mandatory activities you should do on a Fort Lauderdale boating adventure is to anchor at one of the three famous sandbars. The Fort Lauderdale Sandbar (also known as the “Triangle”; inside the New River), Lake Sylvia (south of Bahia Mar) and the sandbar at Whiskey Creek (near John Lloyd State Park). Be sure to bring your favorite beverages and food to enjoy a unique experience.
Dinner along the New River
Many of Fort Lauderdale's iconic restaurants are located along the New River. During your downtown cruise, be sure to dock in the area to tour the bars.
